He thought about making music.
He was not a crazy music fan. He sometimes enjoyed to listen to CDs in his car and in his apartment. He didn't have any particular favorite musicians. But, one day he thought about making music. Maybe there were three reasons that he thought so:

First: When he was a junior high school student, in music class, one assignment was to make a song oneself. He made a song for the first time in his life. He thought that the song that he made was good. Although he couldn't remember what his teacher said about his song, it was an impressive memory.

Second: When he was just browsing on his iPad, he happened to find a free software that one could play the piano on the keyboard on the screen. As a try, he downloaded it and played a melody that he knew. It was fun. After that he sometimes played music on his tablet. The software allowed him to record his play, so he improved his skills of playing the piano little by little.

Third: He watched a music show program on TV at the end of the year. In this program, singers sung songs that were popular during the year. He thought that the songs that they sung were not as good as when he was young. The singers were skillful and the lyrics were good, but the melody lines were not good, they lacked a good melody line. He thought that he might be able to make better songs.

Thanks to iPad's easy carrying, he started to work on a new song on his iPad on his way to work and back.

After a while, he finished a rough melody line, then he started to write the lyrics for the melody. He wanted to write lyrics that would encourage people because when he was young, there were many good songs that encouraged him. But, soon he realized that he had no sense of writing lyrics. They were somehow not good.

One day he was given a ticket to a concert, which was a duet of a violin and a piano. The violinist was world famous, although he didn't know. He was not familiar to classical music. It was the first time that he listened to a solo violin playing, and he was mesmerized. It was unbelievable that only one instrument could make such rich and complex sounds. Before he thought classical music as boring. After listening to the performance, he changed his plan: To compose instrumental music.

He bought a better version of the software.
The free version only had 'Piano' sound, but the paid version had a variety of other instruments. He could play those instruments on the keyboard on the pad like a synthesizer. He could play each part and mix them together later.

He started to make his 'symphony'. His strategy was as follows: First, he would make the main melody part, and then he could use it for the other parts only changing the instruments. He also thought about some story line for his music. He thought it might be a good idea to start with his life. He also thought that he should divide the music into a four-part structure ~ introduction, development, turn, and conclusion. It seemed musically dynamic.

He was a complete beginner at composing music. He couldn't read music scores. He only knew 'do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do' and # (sharp) and flat, although he couldn't say which is which.
As he proceeded to compose his music, he learned the names of the musical symbols and their functions, like a G, an F, crescendo, pizzicato, ritardando, da capo, c "Are these Italian?" he had no idea. It was difficult, but not super difficult. So he gradually was able to read musical notes. He composed using both the keyboard and the music score on the iPad.

One year passed.
Finally his symphony was completed. He named it 'Symphony No.0 (zero)', as he didn't know if it could be called a 'symphony'. He connected his iPad to his amp which was connected to a couple of good quality speakers that he had bought for this day.

The First Chapter: Omen
The symphony started quietly and calmly. A solo violin sounded in a slow tempo. It was the main melody line. The single violin became two violins, then three, four, and then ten. An oboe was added, then flutes followed. A piano and cello gradually supported them.

The Second Chapter: Conflict
The scene was transferred into greater noise, other instruments added accordingly, trombones, saxophones, horns, timpani, xylophone, and even triangles and piccolos. He made this part while remembering his hard times working at his company. At that time, he and his boss's relationship was very bad.

The Third Chapter: Task
Suddenly a big change came. His company suffered a big scandal and he and his boss had to work hard together and at last they overcame the scandal. He expressed this situation using a mixture of light sounds and heavy sounds.

The Last Chapter: Peace
The last part started from the calmness after the storm. Like the beginning, the solo violin played the main melody slowly and gently. His boss apologized to him saying that he had a fear that he might be making fun of the boss because he graduated from a famous university and his boss didn't. But he said that he respected the boss. They now understood each other and announced it to the other team members. They went to a karaoke bar and sung till midnight c The fanfare of trumpets started. Violins, trombones, and oboes followed. Drams, the timpani, started, ... forte, forte, forte. Cymbals clashed, then, silence returned.

"Bravo! Bravo!" His single applause didn't stop for a long time. He was crying. He didn't need to wipe away his tears because he was alone. He stood up and bowed deeply to the imaginary audience. He heard their exciting applause.

Now he was thinking about uploading his work to YouTube. It might be ignored by viewers, but for him that was not a problem. As he finished his work, he thought whether he should have a public viewing of his symphony, like during the classical times.
