Hearing-aid-2
November 11, 2013
When he came to her table, her eyes were closed, so it took a little time for her to notice him standing in front of her.  He looked serious but said nothing so it made her uncomfortable.  She asked, "Excuse me? Is something wrong with me?"   He still said nothing.  She became more nervous, "I'm sorry but have we met before?  I can't remember you."
He had started to regret coming to her table. @He realized that he couldn't ask her in front of the other people whom she wanted to kill.  She found that the other customers were watching him with curious eyes.  She asked in a sharp voice, "If you continue your attitude, I will have to say
that you're a stalker or something."  He finally said, "I'm not a stalker."  "So?"  "I'd like to talk to you."  She said, "We are talking, but you haven't said anything.  Ok, what do you want to talk about?"  His voice became small, "About ...  your troubles..."
She laughed and said in a loud voice as if she was appealing to the other customers, "You are a stranger to me, right?  And why do you think that I have a problem; and, furthermore, that you can solve it?"  He said nothing.  She added, "If you need someone to talk to, I know some good counselors."
Some laughters occurred here and there.  He felt miserable but said, "I thought that you had a problem."  She laughed again, "Yes, I do. A stranger comes up to me and is talking nonsense."
He gave up talking to her and left the coffee shop.  He started to walk thinking about her, "I was sure that her voice said 'I want to kill him' three times in a row.  Maybe my approach was childish."
But when he was walking, a hand grabbed his arm.  It was her.  She said, "Who are you? Are you an undercover agent?"  He replied, "I'm just a common citizen."  She asked, "So why do you think that I have a problem?"  He explained about his new hearing-aid.  She was surprised at what he said, and went a little way away and whispered something.  She returned to his location and asked him to answer her question.  His answer was correct.  She was amazed.
He asked, "So, who is 'he'?  Who do you want to kill?"       She was thinking for a while and said, "If I tell you this, you will be in danger. Is it acceptable?"  He nodded.
