Migrate 1
June 3, 2016
They were the people to migrate willingly.

In this society, half of the people wanted to live in their own countries, but the other half thought that they should be 'cosmopolitans'. They thought that if they didn't insist on living in their own country and being their own people, called nationality, the number of wars in the world might be reduced, and they started to migrate.

This family, a father in his 40s, a mother in her 30s, a girl and a boy in their teens, now lived in this particular country for the first time.

The father was a farmer. His farm was in his home country. There were many robots that worked by his instructions via the Internet. There were some workers working on his farm and he could see when and how they worked on his tablet computer. Some of the workers changed regularly because they also migrated like him.

The mother was a teacher. She taught on the Internet. She never met her students in person. She sometimes talked with her students via Skype. She also talked with her colleagues about how to teach.

She was a math teacher. Half of her students and colleagues didn't speak her
language. Thanks to the most advanced translation and voice makeover software that replicated her voice perfectly, everything that she said was translated into each language of the listener.

She was a good teacher, at least she believed so, but she wasn't teaching her daughter and son. She wanted to separate her private time and her working time; and, so did her children. They liked their math teachers and she felt a little bit jealous. She thought at first that the children might change their teachers soon because they could choose any teachers who they liked or disliked. But, once they chose their teachers, they didn't change them. It was partly because they felt intimacy to their teachers; but, also, possibly, the teachers could check other teachers' way of teaching on the Internet, especially high ranking teachers, so their teaching style became similar.

At first, she was worried about her children's friends' situation. She believed, like other parents, for kids, friends are the most important thing in their childhood. Actually, each area in each country, there were organized many children communities which the local government supported. The kids would soon become friends with the other kids, naturally.

If the children became sick, their medical records were on a cloud computing system, and if a doctor had an International license, he/she could access them. In this society, because of world-wide epidemic viruses, each country knew about the importance of cooperation between countries and made standard medical procedures and an international license system. After that, doctors and nurses could work anywhere.

Furthermore, in hospitals, sophisticated remote-control systems and robotic hands helped the doctors and nurses. A team of several doctors and nurses from anywhere could operate in any operation room in which only a patient and robotic hands were.

There were many patients in hospitals and elderly people living in      nursing homes. These people couldn't migrate easily. Many nurses and caretakers came to their places from all over the world. The patients and elderly people could enjoy talking about their own country's life styles and cultures.

Recently, there was a robbery near the family's apartment. The criminal was arrested soon. Because of terrorism happening internationally, counties made common rules about crimes and punishments. They unified their crime information, and subsequently, the crime rate decreased.

The family was living in a B and B. After B & B appeared everything had changed. In the beginning, people used this hotel system only for their travels. After the translation voice system was invented, people started to live more in foreign countries, and frequently lived in B and B's.

Originally, people's lifestyles were not so different. All over the world, people read newspapers in the morning and watched news at night.  They commuted to their job places or schools. They ate three meals and sometimes ate out. They had some hobbies or fun things. They liked healthy food and exercising. They sometimes drank alcohol. They liked jokes, movies, and mysteries and romance stories. People would get together and become friends.

People who were crazy about ski or snowboard tended to migrate to places which had winter. People who were crazy about surfing or scuba diving tended to go to tropical islands or places which had summer. Normal people who migrated to a moderate climate tended to go to other places and enjoy fishing, exercising, food, reading, or just relaxing. So there was a good valance.
