| She was a young woman. One day she watched an animation movie in which a queen made everything that she touched become frozen. Since then she had been trapped by the idea of turning things frozen. Always she had been a dreamer, an 'animation dreamer'. When she saw good animation movies, afterwards she couldn't tell the difference between reality and the animation worlds. This time around she wanted to be a 'frozen queen', so she started to practice to make things frozen. After a couple of years of her earnest efforts, (the movie was so good that she kept her motivation) she became a human freezer. She could manage to control freezing anything. She was happy. Especially in the summer season, she froze her room and enjoyed its coolness. Several years past. Her ability to freeze something became stronger and stronger. She didn't say anything to others about her specialty, even to her family members. She met one guy and they became a couple. One day, when she went out with
She took a flower from the vase that was on the table, and concentrated on it, closing her eyes. The red rose immediately became white. When she touch it, it was broken into fragments. Her boyfriend was astonished but said nothing. After a while, the boyfriend broke up with her. She was very shocked. She cried regretting about her careless actions. Another shocking thing occurred soon after. On this particular night, when she touched her cat, it froze. She couldn't understand. When she was about to take it to a veterinarian, she accidentally dropped it; it was broken into pieces on the floor. She was too shocked to cry. At that time she hadn't concentrated to freeze her cat, of course. Maybe in shock that her boyfriend had broken up with her somehow made her way of freezing change. She felt afraid for the first time. She decided to commit suicide. It seemed to be very easy for her. She concentrated to freeze her heart. But, nothing happened. She came to a high bridge. She threw herself off from the bridge. The moment that she touched the surface of the river, the river froze and she became a part of the river. She didn't become hurt. She took a lot of sleeping pills. But, it didn't affect her at all. The pills didn't dissolve, and were expelled from her body. Maybe her body rejected her from killing herself by freezing the pills while they were in her body. After her various suicide attempts, she gave up to die for the time being. One day when she was watching TV, the program showed the hard life in a poor local area of a certain country. They were surrounded by the sea but they had to get water from the far mountain-side by walking. The researcher said that it needs elaborate machines and electricity to make water from the sea: far too expensive for the villagers. She started to research about the area of the country that was on TV. A month later, she was in that area. Soon children gathered around her. She asked them to bring a container, luckily some of them could understand her poor English. She started to use her power. She took out a handy bucket and a screen from her backpack. After setting the screen on the bucket, using another bucket she scooped some water from the sea and poured it through the screen. After the bucket of filtered water became full, she concentrated on it. Soon the water became pure ice leaving the salt on the bottom of the bucket. The children couldn't understand what was happening. She licked the surface of the ice. It was not salty. She smiled. She started to freeze the sea water one by one, and gave a block of ice to each child. They happily returned to their house and brought another container. She knew soon the adults would come. She had prepared a strategy to explain about her project while hiding her ability, earning time before it would become news worldwide. She also was thinking about teaching some of the children how to freeze things; she believed that children have the ability to absorb on something they love, like her. (The End) |
