| He worked for a pizza delivery shop. Recently when he delivered pizzas, he came to know that one of the houses he delivered to was his former boss's house. Several years ago he quit that company. He was a sales clerk and his boss harassed him every day. At last, he couldn't bear it anymore, and finally quit the company. He became a pizza delivery man. He liked his present job because nobody harassed him. When he first found his boss's name on his delivery list, his heart pounded hard. He remembered the days his boss harassed him badly. His boss made him stand in front of his desk and blamed him for hours, saying his sales were bad. His colleagues knew that his sales weren't so bad. This routine lasted until he quit. After visiting his boss's house, he started to think to get revenge on him. His grudge was so strong that he surfed the Internet and found a site where it instructed how to make a poison cocktail from common ingredients. He didn't want to kill his old boss's wife or son, so, he waited for a chance. Several months later the chance came. His boss called, "We usually order large ones but today I'm alone, so do you accept a single medium size pizza for delivery?" His mind was pounding but he forced his voice to be calm and shortly said, so not to be recognized by his voice, "No problem." On his way to his boss's house, he stopped by his apartment and put a lethal amount of poison on the pizza. He came to his boss's house and chimed. He wore sunglasses and a cap to disguise himself. His boss soon appeared in his casual clothes. His boss received the pizza and paid the money. When he started to leave, his boss said, "Are you Jim?" He might have expected it. He took off his sunglasses. His boss was staring at him for a while and said, "I'm so sorry, Jim. I didn't intend to make you quit... I'm terribly sorry ..." He was a little surprised that his former boss apologized but coldly said, "It's too late." His boss nodded, "You are right. Time won't return..." He changed his voice tone and teasingly added, "... In that case, why don't you deliver me a poisonous pizza?" His boss expected some reaction from him, but he said nothing, looking at the pizza box. His boss looked shocked, "It can't be, it can't be..." Suddenly the door opened and a boy rushed in. Being surprised, the boss asked, "Aren't you supposed to be at the zoo?" "It was closed because the animals were sick or something..." His son saw the pizza box and opened it and grabbed a piece and gave it a bite. His boss froze to death. He jumped at his son and slapped the pizza from his hand. But it was too late. His son already ate more than half of the piece. His boss fiercely opened his son's mouth. He stopped his boss, saying, "Your boy was lucky. He ate the safe half." His boss couldn't understand. His son was speechless in shock. He continued, "I only poisoned half a side of the pizza. Your son ate from the other half. You should thank your son..." He left, saying, "I also have to thank your son. I was going to be a murderer." After his leaving, his boss started to sob. |
