Satan's Knife 2

She loved him. He loved her.     One day Satan came and asked them. "You two look like loving each other."  The man of the couple said, "We actually love each other."     Satan said, "In that case one of you can pierce the other's heart with this special knife. If you both love, the person who was pierced won't be hurt.   But if either of you don't love the other, the person who was pierced will die."     The man of the couple said, "In that case if the person who is pierced dies, we don't know which of us doesn't love the other."     Satan said, "You two are sure of your loves. So you don't need to worry about it. And if one of you dies, the survivor can think the other didn't love you."     The woman said, "Oh, you are very smart.   In that case there is a chance that your knife will be a simple knife which won't have any magical power.    Satan said, "I don't think so."   Satan left, leaving his knife.       He and she looked at each other for a while. Then she said, "You can pierce your heart by yourself."     He said, "Satan didn't say anything about stabbing ourselves.   If you believe it why don't you pierce your heart by yourself?"     "OK," she said.   She left, taking Satan's knife with her and saying, "I understand 'your love.'"    On her way she threw Satan's knife from a bridge.
