Red Cape
December 23, 2012
The mother said to her daughter, "Never believe wolves, they are mean. Don't ever let show them see you in a red cape. Wolves are very tempted by red capes, and will attack you."  But the daughter was over-confident about her figure.  She believed that a red cape suited her best, and wanted to show it off.
One day, she was walking through the forest in her red cape. Her mother was right, a wolf soon secretly began to follow her.  But luckily for the daughter, she returned home safely.  However, soon afterwards, the wolf came to the daughter's house, and knocked at the door.  The daughter asked from inside, "Who is it?"  The wolf replied, "I'm a wolf."
The wolf had grown up in a courteous family so he was very honest and had
never told a lie.  She responded, "You are joking.  No wolves wouldn't say that they are wolves in this case.  You might be a human boy who loves me, and is pretending to be a wolf in order to hide your shyness."
The wolf said, "Honestly, I'm a wolf."  The girl laughed, "No wolves can be that honest, they are all mean and sly."  The wolf responded sadly, "You believe in the stereo-typical wolf.  We are all different from each other, some wolves are mean, others are gentle, just like human-beings."
The girl said, "If you insist that you are a wolf, show me your ear."  The wolf showed his ear from the slit in the letter box.  It was a long ear.  She asked, "Why do you have such a long ear?"  The wolf answered, "Because I am a wolf."  She said, "I don't think so. Maybe it's because it is to hear your girlfriend's talk carefully."  The wolf was speechless.
The girl said, "How about showing me your mouth?"  The wolf showed her his mouth in the same way.  The girl asked, "Why is your mouth so wide?"  The wolf said, "Because I am a wolf." (He wanted to add 'idiot!' but didn't, because he was a decent wolf.) She said, "I think it's because it is to smile lovely at your girlfriend. I want to see you!"  She started to open the door.  The wolf was upset, "Wait!  Don't open the door!  Wolves attack women in red capes. I can't ..."  But she didn't wait until he finished, she quickly opened the door.
The wolf's face immediately changed from gentle to wild when he saw her in her red cape, and jumped on her.  It was so sudden that she didn't have any time to regret her over-confidence and carelessness.
