King's Restaurant
January 19, 2014
There was a restaurant.
The chef of the restaurant was a king.
The price system was unique: no matter how many dishes you ordered, it would be the same price as one.
But, all the customers would only order one dish each.
Because, the taste of the food was horribly bad.
The king was a terribly bad cook.
But always the restaurant was full of customers.
The subjects were forced to go to the king's restaurant.
They were afraid of this restaurant.

After eating at the king's restaurant (They had to eat through what they ordered.), many people would feel sick, and some of them would have to go to the hospital.
Some of the subjects refused to go to the restaurant and, subsequently, be sent to jail.
Some rich people would pay bribes, and escape from eating the king's food.

One day a family came: a mother and her son.  Their clothes were worn out.
The mother said to her son in a small voice, "You can eat as much food as you want."  The child smiled.  The mother ordered several dishes from the menu.  The waitress repeated the order as if she doubted what she heard.  The other customers in the restaurant stopped eating and talking, and looked at the family in amazement.

Soon, many dishes were sent to the family's table.  The king also came carrying one of the dishes; he wanted to see who ordered more than two dishes.

The family started to eat in front of the king and the curious customers.
The mother ate one mouthful from the plate and stopped.  She was watching vacantly at her son eating fiercely.

Suddenly, a loud voice occurred, "Stop it!"  It was the king. He came to the boy and grabbed his hand and took away his spoon.  The boy looked shocked not knowing what was happening.  The king shouted again, "Call the doctor!  Hurry up!"

Soon the doctor came and started to take care of the child's stomach.  His worried mother was watching everything happen.

The king started telling his story:
"When I was young, I fell down from a horse.  After that day, I lost my sense of taste, and no doctor could cure it.  Maybe your child has the same type of disease."
The mother nodded.
The king continued, "I feel humiliated to see people enjoying eating food.  So I wanted to see people unwillingly eat bad tasting food.  I' m sorry."  He looked around the customers.

The mother said, "My son has the same 'tasteless sickness' but he has a strong appetite.  We don't have enough money so I only came here to let my son eat enough food..."  She started to cry.

Soon later, the king closed his restaurant.  He let the family live in his castle and ordered the doctor to cure the son's 'tasteless disease' with utmost effort.
