The priest asked a boy. "What are you doing?" The boy, who was looking around the road in downtown, said in a sad voice, "I lost my money. I had been asked to buy some bread at the bakery by my mother but I lost my money. The priest said, "Oh, that's a pity. So how much did you drop?" The boy said, "I didn't say I dropped my money." The priest said, "Oh, in that case what happened?" The boy said, "I was offered to buy some candy by a shopkeeper when I was walking." The priest said, "So you bought candy then." The boy said in an irritating voice, "I didn't say that I bought candy. Why are you adults in such a rush?" The boy's saying offended the priest a little but the priest didn't show it and asked, "Oh, you didn't buy candy, so what The boy said, "I bought bread at the bakery and ate it all up, I was so starving." The boy started to cry." The priest asked, "But, so why were you looking around?" The boy said, "I'm looking for money, hoping that somebody might drop some." The priest first wondered whether the boy's story was true or not but he said, "Ok, God will give you what you lost. How much?" The boy said, "20 dollars." The priest became shocked, "I don't think that your mother gave you so much money." The boy said, "Do you think that my mother didn't trust me?" The priest regretted to have gotten involved with this boy. The boy shouted, "20 dollars! I think your God knows that!" The priest handed him a 10 dollar bill and left without saying anything. The boy said, "God bless you." |
