| In this society, most of the clothing was high tech. She would wear a T-shirt, jeans and casual shoes to walk to her job place; but, when she would get to her job place, she wouldn't need to change her clothes, because her clothes were changeable. They were made from special material which was made of special strings that could form any shapes by the pulse from a watch-shaped device on her wrist. On this particular day, she was a little late for work, so she went behind a tree in the park and spoke to the machine, "Change the T-shirt and jeans to running sweats and pants, and the shoes to running ones." Soon, the clothes and the shoes had changed their shapes into ones that she announced. She started running. She got to her job place just on time. She entered her work place and went to the
One reason that she was late was because she had a date after work. Once she was finished with work, she went into the ladies room and said to the machine, "Change the present clothes into a red dress and shoes that will match it." Soon her clothes changed. Looking at herself in the mirror, she gave another order about the details of the color, and automatically, the color on both the dress and the shoes changed to what she had stated. She smiled. She enjoyed dinner with her boyfriend, and afterwards they went to a disco. Before going to the disco, she changed her dress once again, this time into a short tight skirt. While dancing at the disco, another woman accidentally bumped into her. She fell down and shouted to the woman, "Watch it!" At this time, all of the clothes completely disappeared from her body, shrinking in to the device on her wrist. When she realized that she was stark naked, she let out a high-pitched shriek of embarrassment. She hadn't known that the word 'watch it' was a hidden special word to make all of the clothes disappear from the owner; the programmer programmed it for his amusement. |
