| He was a scientist. He invented a time machine.@But he hadn't announced it publicly yet because he had a scary, arrogant wife, and he wanted to use his machine to change her. His university scheduled the announcement day for the following week. From all over the world, scientists and journalists would gather to see his great invention; and, of course, the government also expected it. So this seemed to be his last chance to use the machine for his own personal use. After the announcement, the government would surely put it under surveillance for being afraid that it could be used for some antigovernment usage. He had gone into the past a couple of times. The last time he went back, he chose the time when he proposed to his wife. He successfully went to the restaurant on the day and the time just before she would come. He was sitting at the table; in his pocket was an engagement-ring. Soon his wife came and sat down the seat in front of him. She was young, cute, and slender. She said, "I had a dream. In the dream, I met an 'old' you, and you looked sad. You said nothing but I felt that we weren't together." He wanted to shout "It's opposite!" but said nothing. She continued, "I was very sad because you looked so sad and pitiful. I had decided in the dream that I will definitely make you happy." She smiled at him. It was a beautiful smilec He opened his house door. His wife, not young, chubby rather than slender, excitedly came up to him and said, "I dreamed of our younger days! I remembered that I said something embarrassing to you before you proposed to me. I was so young then." He said, "You are still young." His wife smiled at him. That was good. |
