The one company that he checked from the eleven companies was a company from his prefecture. There were about 2,000 companies which joined this system. He thought that the eleven selected companies were special companies like IT companies, in which they can work remotely; but, the company that he researched was a common hotel company. There are 123 workers, 76 workers are women.

The website read that this company's commitment for this issue:
・Their workers can choose from one of seven working styles which differ in being a full-time worker or part-time, working hours, salaries, and other conditions. A worker can transfer from full-time to part-time, part-time to full-time depending on their own life situations ~taking care of children, the elderly, oneself because of sickness, etc. They also introduced the option that if one increases working hours per day, then one can reduce working days a week.
・The company changed the structure from the department bosses and section bosses system to a more flat system in which Person A is a leader of this job and Person B is a leader of another job. As there are more positions, female workers are easy to get familiar with leadership positions.
・After they started their new policies, for ten years, there have not been only workers who have quit for the reasons of marriage and childbirth.

He tried checking another company, which company has the fewest 59 workers, while the others, one has about 300 workers, the others have 1,000 ~ 7,000 workers.

This company is a wholesaler of glasses.
The company wanted to change the situation in which a lot of female workers quit after their marriage and childbirth. They made an in-house committee from various generations and talked about this issue interviewing staff, especially female workers about their difficulty of work-life balancing. In the new system workers can work shorter than regular working time depending on their situations. They changed the structure to flat and there appeared more teams, a lot of female team leaders were born.

He could find that there were a lot of policies and ideas between those two companies in common:
They have been changing their working systems by listening to their workers' opinions and situations.

Their new policies work for not only female workers, but for male workers who understand their partners' situation more. They can use their right to raise children, take care of their old parents, etc. The system should be for whole workers for a sustainable company.

As they need to help each other, the structure of the company should be as flat as possible, in this case each worker has responsibility, not only female workers, but also young workers who show leadership.

The companies pay attention to workers not having a sense of unfairness, especially workers who have to work more because of workers who are working less time. He could easily guess that if a worker has to work more just because they are single and no kids, they have to sacrifice their own life, they would feel stress.

Companies have been changing their structure because society has been changing. He recently read a paper that a company recently started a new rule that early morning working time can be counted as overtime.

He also heard recently that a big company named 'Ito-chu', a general trading company. After they started their supporting systems for raising children, a website says that they started it in 2003, their male workers' raising-children-leave rate became about 60%, and their workers' birth rate (the average number of babies that couples have in their life) became about 3.0, while this country's birth rate is 1.39 (the 215th in the world).
