He wanted to verify the information about the amount of CO2 emissions, so he checked on the internet.

One research article gave a breakdown of the amount of 'greenhouse effect gas' in the world is ~ CO2 : 91.7%, hydro fluorocarbon: 3.8%, and methane : 2.4% in 2018. He had heard that methane that is produced from cows' belches is the big problem, but from this ratio he couldn't find it.

In the research, detailed CO2 emission in this country is as follows (2020) :
Industry (factories, etc.) : 252 million tons (24.1%)
Transportation (cars, etc.) : 177 million tons (17.0%)
Services (commerce, services, offices, etc.) : 60.3 million tons (5.8%)
Households : 55.8 million tons (5.3%)
Energy Switching (power plants, oil factories, etc.) : 422 million tons (40.4%)
Use of factory process and goods : 427 million tons (4.1%)
Wastes (incineration, etc.) : 31.0 million tons (3.0%)
Others (indirect CO2) : 2.9 million tons (0.3%)

These numbers seemed to be rather different from the former numbers he had searched on the internet last time, especially under the category of 'Households'. In the former data, it was three times of this. Maybe 'Energy Switching' contains the CO2 in which each household used electricity and oil emitting CO2.

He found another website which was explaining about a typical household's annual CO2 emissions :

Air conditioner (as a cooler : 2.6 months' use, as a heater : 5.5 months' use) :
6-9 tatami mats room : 650 kwh (CO2 : 243 kg)
8-12 tatami mats room : 930 kwh (CO2 : 348 kg)
10-15 tatami mats room : 1,350 kwh (CO2 : 505 kg)

Gas/Kerosene fan heater :
CO2 emission by 1 liter kerosene consumption: 2.492 kg

In his house's case, about 200 l of kerosene was used last winter. In this case, about 500 kg CO2 was emitted. A couple months ago he found an 'eco mode' on his kerosene fan heater in his living room and started to use it. Since then the temperature of the room has been kept at 21℃〜22℃ consistently. He felt that this season's consumption of kerosene was less than before. He was happy.

Electric carpet / Kotatsu :
According to its usage hours.

He regularly set 'weakest' levels when he used his kotatsu.

TV :
About 1/10 of the total electricity consumption by a household.

Lights (5.5 hours use a day) :
About 1/6 of the total electricity consumption by a household.

-8 tatami mats room : 100 kwh (CO2 : 37 kg)
8-12 tatami mats room : 110 kwh (CO2 : 41 kg)

Refrigerator :
About 1/6 of the total electricity consumption by a household.
-400 liters : 430 kwh (CO2 : 161 kg)

Electric thermos / Rice cooker:
In case of keeping hot water in a electric thermos for 8 hours : CO2 : 0.05kg

He had heard that using hot water emits 15 times more CO2 than just water.

Bath Tub :
To make 200 liters hot water : CO2 : 1.3 kg

Car :
1/3 of the whole CO2 emission by a household.
Gasoline 1 l combustion : CO2 : 2.322 kg

He maybe refueled his car using about 30 l once a month. His car is a hybrid car. In this case, a yearly CO2 emission is 836 kg.
