| When he was a college student, he lived in the capital city of this country and sometimes went to an area to drink where there were many cheap bars that students like him could afford. The area was also famous for having many hostess bars, in which hostesses served customers. When the coronavirus first spread in the country, the capital city recorded a high percentage of carriers, especially the area where he used to go drink. The governor of the capital city appeared on TV every day and warned her citizens saying, "Please be careful when you go to 'night spots' especially to bars with 'entertaining services'." Of course, 'night spots' means a location which has many bars and other services that open at night; and, 'entertaining service' means the service by hostesses and hosts. Different from his time, there were a lot of host clubs in the area as well. Soon after, the national government asked some businesses, like bars, karaoke shops, pachinko, and gyms, to close, and they followed. After the first surge of the coronavirus finished, these businesses started to re-open. Several months had past. Recent outbreaks of the coronavirus were harder than the last time, but different  from the last time, people's reaction has been calmer, maybe people have gotten used to this pandemic. The rate of severe patients were rather lower than before, but the number of infected itself was higher and higher. Another difference has been that this time not only young people, but all generations are contracting the coronavirus. And, differently from the first wave, the night spots' cases have been lower. Recently, he happened to watch a TV program that featured a host person from that area. He had been wanting to improve their workers situation. He and his followers started to clean the area, picking up trash at midnight after working. They started to run a bookstore in the area to make hosts and hostesses more intelligent. He started a 'tanka' (a poetic verse of five lines of 5, 7, 5, 7 and 7 syllables) club and recently published their (club's) tanka anthology. After the corona pandemic started, he had asked the health minister in person at a meeting and was able to get to give subsidy all hostesses and hosts PCR tests every week. They made guidelines for host & hostess clubs, and would visit each host club in his area regularly, there are about 300 host clubs in the area! The commentator for that TV show recently revealed his research that he collected via interviews from patients of the coronavirus, and more than 90 % of the interviewees said that they had joined a group drinking/eating within the week that they contracted the sickness. When you go to a restaurant or a bar, you stand with your phone where its lens can see the room (you can also use a 360°attachment on the lens). The app would check the surroundings and AI would analyze the customers, waiters and waitresses, the distance between each other, whether people were wearing masks, their voice loudness, and using censers the app could check the situation of the air flow. The app would update the results every few minutes, and would go from green to red, and if the app felt an alert, it would give a loud sound like, "Warning! Warning! This place is very dangerous! Get out of here immediately! Warning! Warning ... " |
