His Ideas 12 ~ Monologue
November 26, 2020
When he got this idea, he thought why he hadn't thought about it before, a very simple thing, like a Columbus Egg.

The world had been thinking about how to avoid the coronavirus and how to weaker the coronavirus's effects. Basically the coronavirus can't live without partners, in this case human bodies. The coronavirus can stay inert for about two weeks, this is called an incubation period. The coronavirus transmits itself people to people through breathing. Sweat, blood, urine, and feces normally contains no virus. So the government recommends to wear masks, keeping social distance so not to enter an others' breathing areas. A lockdown strategy is the most effective method to prevent viruses from spreading because people stop meeting others, although governments don't want to enact a lockdown because it would stop the economy.

In fact, 'breathing' is not accurate. If you breathe through your nose, only a very few coronavirus comes out. However, when you speak, a lot comes out. Speaking needs air flow through your throat. Like a flute, the stronger you breathe out, the bigger the sound that comes out. And, the louder the voice, the more the viruses is emitted.

People who mainly transmit their coronavirus to others are those people who have no symptoms themselves. As known, the virus holders without symptoms can transmit the virus. Normally, if the virus holders have symptoms (a fever, coughing, sneezing, running nose, and feeling bad), they wouldn't go out. They would either stay home or go to a hospital. So, the majority of the transmitters of the virus are non-symptom patients. And non-symptom people rarely cough or sneeze; they wipe their running nose, and then touch things like door knobs or hand straps on the train. But, the one thing is that they continue to talk.

[His Idea #12 : Monologue]

How about prohibiting to speak for 2 weeks?
Some scientists say that speaking was one of the biggest epoch makings of human evolution. Human Beings are Human Beings because we can speak. Human rights supporters might say it would be a violation of basic human rights if a speaking prohibition would be enacted.

But, for example, hypothetically speaking, if you were going to be executed in a month, and were told that if you didn't say anything, a single word, for the following month, you would be given a pardon, you would definitely choose to be silent as a snail happily. This means that the priority is one's 'life'.

If you really needed to communicate with others, you could use writing. Deaf and Mute people actually live by doing this with people who can't use sign language. For kids who don't read? Just smile.

Modern people tend to speak too much. To him, people seem to be busy to appeal to themselves about how right they are, or how great they are. Maybe what they are talking about is correct, but sometimes correct things are not the only correct ones. The more people talk, the more the world becomes noisy and there are a lot of quarrels and conflicts because of this. Some modesty and empathy to others is necessary, he thought. Maybe it would be a good chance, to stay away from speaking for a certain period, and think silently about world peace, as well as praying for it in one's mind.
